Take yourself back in time and imagine moving cattle over the picturesque Porcupine Hills of southwestern Alberta. You will be surrounded by 4000 acres of vast open country, which comprises the Lucasia Ranch. Herds of elk and deer mingle with Texas Longhorns and Crossbred cattle, as well as Percheron, Appaloosa and Quarter horses.
Travel back into the historic days of the 'ol west. The working ranch was established in 1881 by Colonel Lyndon, and stands as testament to a bygone era. After a day in the saddle, spend the evening gazing endlessly into the glow of the campfire, or relax on the deck and taste the crystal clear water that springs up nearby the ranch house emptying into a pond that is home to colourful ducks and geese.
Accommodations consist of guest rooms in the modern ranch home or guests may experience pioneer life and stay in the refurbished 1900s log cabin.
