The Nickle Arts Museum was founded in 1979 with a donation by Mr. Samuel C. Nickle, and a grant from The Province of Alberta. The Nickle Arts Museum has Contemporary Art and Numismatics. The art collection has over 3,000 items, mostly works on paper, with an expanding number of paintings, sculptures and ceramics.

It also has a small African and Asian collection consisting of 19th and 20th century artifacts.
