Cape Krusenstern National Monument

Search Visit Alaska

Cape Krusenstern is a treeless coastal plain dotted with lagoons and limestone hills. The monument is home to a large number of migratory birds, who come from all over the world to nest at Cape Krusenstern.

Alaska Natives still hunt marine mammals along the outer beaches, and local rural residents are allowed to hunt within the monument.

Open year round.
