Chena Hot Springs is located in Fairbanks North Star Borough. This small town is, as the name implies, built around a natural hot spring. The town is located south of the Yukon Flats National Wildlife Refuge and west of Yukon-Charley Rivers National Preserve, 70 miles east of Fairbanks off Highway 2. The town offers excellent northern lights viewing.
