Fort Greely

Fort Greely was once Headquarters for Kodiak's Harbor Defenses and the testing site for cold-weather warfare tactics. Two AA battery sites still remain, as well as several searchlight stations. After the war, the post moved inland to its present site five miles south of Delta Junction. Fort Greely is now the hotspot for the United States' new missile defense program.
