The Inupiat Heritage Center houses exhibits, artifacts, plus a library, gift shop, and a traditional room where elders and artists demonstrate and teach traditional crafts.
Among the permanent exhibits at the center include a large ethnographic collection, an extensive collection on Arctic weather, and much more.
The center is managed in part by Ilisagvik College, and is affiliated with the New Bedford Whaling National Historic Park in New Bedford, Massachusetts.
