Lake Louise

Lake Louise is located between Anchorage and Valdez, and is Alaska's largest lake system with road access. Lake Louise Rd joins Glenn Hwy/Tok Cutoff at Mile 159.8. The scenic gravel road goes north 19 miles to the Lake Louise Recreation Area.

Visitors enjoy year-round recreation here, fishing for trophy lake trout and ice fishing in winter. Hiking, berry picking, cross-country skiing, and sled dog races are also popular.

There are many views and turnouts along the way to the lake including Tazlina Glacier and Lake. There are many small lakes in the area that have fishing for grayling. There is also a campground with 52 spaces on two loop roads.
