The Harding Ice Field is located in the
Kenai Peninsula within
Kenai Fjords National Park. It is about 30 miles wide and 50 miles long and 300 square miles.
Harding Ice Field was named after president Warren Harding, and feeds about thirty active glaciers. Harding Ice Field is one of four remaining ice fields in the United States.
Visitors can take the seven-mile roundtrip difficult trail, which begins at Exit Glacier Rd.
