Ipnatchiaq Library, serving an area of 138 residents, has a collection of 7,200 books and periodicals; in addition, there are 360 CDs, records, cassettes and other audio materials, as well as 189 video items, such as DVDs and VHS tapes.
Staffing consists of one employee, plus volunteers. Annual expenditures on the library collection total $4,600. Patrons make 3,000 visits annually, and check out materials 280 times. Fifty-eight percent of all check-outs are children's materials.
