Ruby Community Library, serving an area of 189 residents, has a collection of 2,900 books and periodicals; in addition, there are 66 CDs, records, cassettes and other audio materials, as well as 66 video items, such as DVDs and VHS tapes.
Staffing consists of one employee, plus volunteers. Annual expenditures on the library collection total $3,100. Patrons make 960 visits annually, and check out materials 4,200 times. Thirty-nine percent of all check-outs are children's materials.
