Located within South Esther Island State Marine Park, Wally H. Noerenberg is one of the world's largest fish hatcheries. Tours are available, free of charge. During the height of the fish run, black bears can be seen near the hatchery.
The fish hatchery is owned and operated by the Prince William Sound Aquaculture Corporation, a non-profit corporation operating with a special permit with Alaska State Parks.
