Near the William B. Bankhead National Forest, Danville is found in
Morgan County (
North Region), South of
Decatur on Highway 4.
The city is home to the Jesse Owens Museum and the nearby Jesse Owens Memorial Park. The museum and park are the monuments to some of the first settlers in the area.
The city also has the Woodland Ceremonial Mound And Copena Burial Mound that is respectively the home to many of the brave citizens of the past.
