Dauphin Island

At one time, Dauphin Island was the headquarters for the French colonization along the Gulf Coast. With its location in Mobile County (Gulf Coast Region), it puts itself in the Mobile, Alabama metro area.


The Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge is nearby providing the wildlife in the area a refuge from the everyday stress. Also nearby is the Estuarium at the Dauphin Island Sea Lab.
