North Region), at the north side of the state which places it in the
Huntsville, Alabama metro area.
It is a small town where the population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 411.
The town has many activities to participate in which can be found at the Alabama Farm Heritage Museum & Park, and the Joe Wheeler State Park just 15 miles from town. The Wheeler Lake is also a great place to visit due to the amount of fishing and boating activities available.
