Gadsden Alabama

Named for James D. Gadsden, a friend of settler John S. Morague, Gadsden is the home to a busy community.
The city is located in
Etowah County (
North Region), northeast of
Birmingham along Highway 759 on the banks of the Coosa River near
Weiss Lake placing it in the
Gadsden, Alabama metro area.
The city has many historic sites including the Historic Mort Glosser Amphitheater,
Emma Sansom Monument, Etowah County War Memorial, and the
Spirit of American Citizenship Monument.
Also in the area is the Gadsden-Etowah County Public Library providing all study information for Gadsden Business College, and Gadsden State Community College. Along with the library are the Center For Cultural Arts, and the Gadsden Museum of Art.
Many attractions to visit in the area are the Alabama Regional Theatre, Lookout Mountain Parkway, James D Martin Wildlife Park, and the Noccalula Falls Park.
