Millbrook is located in Elmore County (Central Region).
When the cities first residents came to the area it was because they were getting "a breath of fresh air" from the yellow fever in the early 1920s and 1930s.
Some of the historic sites in the area include the Memorial Park Complex, Memorial Center, Historical Homes, Confederate War Memorial, and the William Wyatt Bibb Cemetery.
The city is full of activity in the Grandview Family YMCA and Conference Center where in an area of 65 acres, there is hiking, picnicking, canoeing, horseback riding, swimming and a health gymnasium.
