Visitors have a choice of a free self-guided tour or a special guided tour of the depot, museum grounds, facilities and historic display train. There is no admission to visit the museum, but donations are always welcomed. The guided tour, for a nominal price, offers a more personal touch as visitors enjoy an audio/visual presentation in a unique railcar and see the interior of a restored Railway Post Office car, a day coach and a Pullman sleeping car. The centerpiece of the museum features the Chase depot, the smallest union depot in the country since it served more than one railroad when in service. Visitors can ride a vintage train over the museum's own Mercury & Chase Railroad. Train schedule is posted at the site.
