Founded in 1890 , Pell City is located east of Birmingham, just off Interstate 20 placing it as part of the Birmingham, Alabama metro area with the Coosa River and Logan Martin Lake nearby in St. Clair County (North Region).
The city is full of recreational activities on Logan Martin Lake including boating and fishing. The area surrounding the lake is mostly residential allowing the people of the area access to the lake.
Visitors can enjoy the area with the availability of shops and rental stores. Also, ther are other sports including softball, baseball, tennis, football, and soccer at the local park.
