Killen Public Library, serving an area of 1,100 residents, has a collection of 11,000 books and periodicals; in addition, there are 46 CDs, records, cassettes and other audio materials. Internet terminals are available for use by the general public.
Staffing consists of one employee, plus volunteers. Annual expenditures on the library collection total $9,200. Patrons make 1,760 visits annually, and check out materials 8,800 times. Forty-two percent of all check-outs are children's materials.
