Roanoke is located in
Randolph County (
Central Region), 14 miles South East of Wedowee along Highway 22 near the Georgia state line in east central Alabama.
Nearby is the large water bodies of LaGrange Lake and Lake Wedowee that are excellent place to visit for all recreation, boating, and fishing activites. Local shops are in the area to provide for all outdoor water activities.
The city also prides itself in it standard for higher education. The school system provides wonderful amounts of information to the students throughout the area.
