Oakland Church of Christ is made up of people from the Athens, Alabama community who has been drawn together for worship and service by a common faith in Jesus Christ. The scriptures are their only guide in religious matters and it is their desire to do everything the scriptures teach. Worship is confined to that which is described in the New Testament.
