Dardanelle is located in
Yell County just southwest of
Russellville, between Chickalah and Russellville along Hwy 27 on the banks of the
Arkansas River near
Mount Nebo State Park (part of the Russellville Metro Area).
The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 3,909, an increase of 187 since 1990.
