Hendrix College is a private 4-yr co-educational liberal arts college founded in 1876 as the Central Institute, and is affiliated with the United Methodist Church. The college is a Carnegie Foundation Baacalaureate and a member of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference. It offers a Bachelor of Arts Degree, 25 academic majors and 26 academic minors. The 38-acre main campus features three buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places, parking areas are located on the campus periphery. There are no through streets cross the main campus.
