The University of Arkansas at
Monticello was established in 1909 by an act of the General Assembly of the State Of Arkansas to serve the educational needs of Southeast Arkansas.
UA-M is located three miles south of the city of Monticello on a wooded campus adjacent to US Highway 425. Monticello, the county seat of Drew County, is 100 miles southeast of Little Rock and 84 miles north of Monroe, LA.
Degrees offered by UA-M include: Associate of Applied Science; Associate of Arts; Bachelor of Arts; Bachelor of Business Administration; Bachelor of Science; Bachelor of Science in Nursing; Master of Education and Master of Science.
Also uniquely available are the Bachelor of Science in Spatial Information Systems, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Global Positioning Systems (GPS), Surveying and Remote Sensing Programs.
Total enrollment is about 2400.
Athletic scholarships are given in football, basketball, baseball and other sports and student housing is available for 711.
