Jasper is located in
Newton County (of which it is the county seat) east of
Fayetteville between
Kingston and
Marshall along Hwy 74 on the banks of the Buffalo River near Buffalo Federal Reservation.
The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 544, an increase of 212 since 1990.
