University Hospital is the most advanced diagnostic and treatment facility in Arkansas. The 350 bed hospital added a new 200,000 square foot, 6-story wing in 1997 bringing the total footage to more than 650,000 square feet.
The advanced care provided at University Hospital has been one of the reasons U.S. News & World Report has named it "one of Americas best" for six consecutive years. UAMS has been presented as "The Best Place to Work in Arkansas" according to a 2001 poll of Arkansas Democrat Gazette readers.
University Hospital is located on the campus of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. All UAMS Medical Center affiliates are on this campus as well.
