LMH provides the community with a twenty-five bed acute care, inpatient facility. In addition, it offers a very popular Swingbed program. In Swingbed, a patient who is not ready to return home and does not desire to be moved to a skilled nursing facility may take advantage of an extended stay in the hospital. This usually offers the patient and family up to two weeks of added time for recovery and rehabilitation. Swingbed is only available under a doctor's orders.
