Bonita Creek offers some of the most outstanding birding opportunities in southeastern Arizona. There are over 200 species of birds that can be observed within the NCA. The optimum viewing season of the Bonita Creek Wildlife Viewing Area is during the spring and summer months. The Bonita Creek Watchable Wildlife Viewing Deck offers a unique view from treetop levels, on the rim of Bonita Creek. The deck is the only fully accessible year-round viewing area in southeast Arizona and visitors can extend their stay at the Riverview Campground, located within walking distance.
