This planetarium includes science halls and exhibits that highlight electricity, magnetism, optics and astronomy. Many of the exhibits encourage visitor experimentation and most are geared to children and adults with limited understanding of optical science and astronomy. The theater presents various science and cultural shows as well as laser light shows. Flandrau is located on the campus of the University of Arizona, at the corner of Cherry Avenue and University Blvd. The center is open Monday through Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Thursday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
