Sam Hughes House

Sam Hughes Inn is a 1931 California Mission-style house with a red tiled roof, original oak floors and art deco architectural details. It is just two blocks from the University of Arizona, and one mile from the University Medical Center. The house is an historic property located in the National Historic District.

Now a series of garden apartments, the home was small when Hughes and his bride moved into it around 1868. It was enlarged to accommodate some of their 15 children.
