Scales Arizona German Shepherds is a breeder in Southeast Arizona rasing quality dogs for show and work since 1987. It is owned by Stacy J. Speer & Kathy Zmudzinski, who have been raising German Shepherds since 1987. Kathy is an active volunteer with the Cochise County Search and Rescue; her first mission with her own Search and Rescue dog resulted in finding a 2-year-old boy lost in a cornfield for 17 hours. Kathy has been written up several times in local newspapers regarding her Search and Rescue dogs. Stacy is an avid enthusiast of the AKC show ring; formerly a trainer/conditioner of their own dogs, she is now stepping into the show ring as a handler for other owners. She has already won several Best of Breeds and Best of Opposites over Specials with her first entry. Their home and kennel is located on 40 acres between Sierra Vista and Bisbee, about 80 miles from Tucson. Adults and older puppies are for sale. Visitors are welcome but the kennel is closed on Sunday.
