Springerville

Springerville is located in Apache County east of Phoenix between Show Low and the New Mexico state line along US Highway 60 on the banks of the Little Colorado River near Lyman and Concho lakes.

The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 2,043, an increase of 241 since 1990.

Located in Northeastern Arizona lies the town of Springerville. Established in 1879, Springerville sits at an elevation of 7,000 feet. The town was incorporated in 1948.

During the founding of Springerville, cattle and sheep ranching were principal economic activities. Today these have been replaced by tourism, agriculture, construction, forestry, and retail sales.

Springerville offers a broad range of facilities to its residents, including a library, museum, and numerous athletic facilities. Springerville is also located near many outdoor recreation activities.
