The Phippen Museum is a fine arts museum whose purpose is to enhance the quality of cultural life in central Arizona for its members and the public through exhibits and educational programs. The museum features the collectors, artists, art and history of the American West, and collects and preserves fine art and artifacts. It consists of paintings, etchings, drawings, bronze sculptures, photography, American Indian artifacts, and jewelry that date from the late 19th century to the early 21st century.

Arizona Exposition & State Fair Phoenix AZ October11-November3 The Arizona Expo and State Fair is held every year. Events include the All-Indian Rodeo, motorized events, animal displays and competition, cooking contests, youth activities, and competitive entries. There is also an annual concert schedule that is announced prior to the fair. Exhibition buildings and grounds include the Agriculture Center, Arizona Plaza Building, Avenue of Flags, Cattle Barns, Exhibit Building, Grandstand-Arena, Hacienda Home Arts Center, Wesley Bolin Building, and the Party Gras.
