Gatehouse Academy is a comprehensive community which combines living skills training, therapy, school, and outdoor activities for troubled youth aged 16 and above. Horseback riding, hiking, nature study and animal observation are available as part of the program. Importance is given for yoga, art, music, and dance. Residents are put in leadership positions and asked to lead a work crew, do the shopping, and prepare a meal. It has a community house with living room, kitchen, and dining area. A sculpture garden is also maintained.
