Verde River

The Verde River is northeast of Phoenix and holds two man-made reservoirs, Horseshoe and Bartlett. The headwaters of the Verde River begin in the Juniper Mountains of Prescott National Forest. The Verde River flows down through a rugged canyon and slowly across the plains of the Verde Valley.
