The scenic and low-key Williams Ski Area is situated on the northern slope of Bill Williams Mountain, just 30 miles from
Flagstaff via Interstate 40.
The 40-acre ski area, which enjoys an annual snowfall of 150 inches, caters mainly to novice skiers and families.
Facilities include a 2,000-foot Poma lift and nylon rope, seven ski runs, a warming lounge, a ski shop and a first-aid station. The slopes are monitored by the local ski patrol.
The Williams Ski Area is open from 9:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. daily except Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Night skiing and snowboarding is allowed, although no terrain park nor special facilities are available for boarders.
Just three miles from the ski area there are 30 lodges, motels and bed and breakfasts located in Williams. Campsites may be found within 10 miles. The Williams Ski Area is also within close proximity to restaurants and the Grand Canyon Railroad.
