Tenth Annual -- April 7, 8, and 9, 2000

11th annual- April 6, 7 & 8th, 2001 The Brant Wildlife Festival, which involves the two oceanside communities of Parksville and Qualicum Beach, is held every April when Brant geese are staging there in peak numbers. Up to 20,000 of the talkative little sea geese gather on local beaches to rest and fatten up on eelgrass before heading northward to their nesting grounds. You can view thousands of Brant geese as well as many other shorebirds through powerful scopes provided by Bushnell Performance Optics. Local guides will show you around old-growth Douglas fir forests and both salt and freshwater marshes to see hundreds of species. World class wildlife carving and stunning wildlife art and photography will be on display.
