This 850 hectare park is set in the Esperanza Inlet on the west coast of
Vancouver Island. It protects numerous reefs, islands and islets, and marine ecosystems. Catala Island is forested with mature trees, twisted and stunted from the wind, as well as a lake and a bog. An Indian Reserve is located on the eastern end of the island; please do not trespass.
This is just one of hundreds of British Columbia Provincial Parks.
