Coquihalla Highway

Beginning in Hope, the Coquihalla Highway cuts hours off the trip to Kamloops compared with Highway 1 (The Transcanada Highway). A $10 toll on cars (more for other vehicles) is charged between Hope and Merritt. Highway 97C, the Coquihalla Connector, runs from Merritt to Westbank on Okanagan Lake.

This is officially "Highway 5." The continuation of this Highway 5 north of Kamloops is called Yellowhead Highway 5.
