Kayaking eco tours include wilderness accommodations at Coast Mountain Lodge on Read Island. Sauna and solar showers are located beside a forest pool on a pure cold creek. The sleeping cabins have shared rooms (2 people per) with compost-system outhouses for a high-tech rustic touch. The Lodge facility runs almost entirely with energy harnessed by solar and small hydroelectric power systems. Kayak sales are also available.
