In order to cultivate a high quality grape, the vineyard at Glenugie Winery produces only organically grown grapes. There are no pesticides or herbicides used on the grapes during the growing cycle. Sulfur, which is an organic, natural element, is used on the grapes and chicken manure is used for fertilization. The vineyard is hand and machine weeded; the organic method of growing grapes is a very labour intensive process. Visitors will be able to have a wine-tasting experience at a vineyard located in the heart of the countryside.
