The Yellowhead Highway is the Central most highway in British Columbia. As Hwy 16 connecting
Prince Rupert via
Prince George to
Vancouver on the Southern leg, (Road numbers 5 and 5A) and as Hwy 16 to
Edmonton, Alberta. Of the many sections of this meandering road, the section between
Hope and
Merritt, (Hwy 5), is a toll road. It is not clear where the name designation ends, but the name, Yellowhead Highway seems to start at Prince Rupert and extends all the way to Kamloops.
