Garden Bay Road leads to the intersection with Irvine's Landing Road. Turn left. Established in 1880, Irvine's Landing was the original settlement for
Pender Harbour. It served as the major steamer stop for small groups of settlers around the coves. When area residents would hear the steamer whistle, they'd drop everything to get to the water for their mail and supplies. Because there were no roads into the area, it became known as the West Coast Venice. Today, the lifestyle here is still based on the water, with many residents working in commercial fishing. The area is popular for sports fishing and pleasure boating. There is a boat launch ramp, a campsite with showers, a grocery store, restaurant and pub.
