Speckled with beautiful parks and lakes, the Langford area has much to offer. From the summit lookout at Mill Hill Park one can enjoy fabulous views of Victoria and Esquimalt Harbor; wildflowers and ferns are abundant in the park's creekbed. In Goldstream Provincial Park see beautiful waterfalls, huge trees, flowers, birds and a meandering river to the sea (especially spectacular when full of spawning salmon in the fall). Visit the beautiful Galloping Goose Regional Park for walking, jogging, hiking, cycling and horseback riding. Climb Mt. Finlayson for great views of Finlayson Arm and the Victoria area. The Juan de Fuca Recreation Centre offers a par three golf course, hiking trail and swimming.

Seattle Japanese Cultural Festival Seattle WA April26-28 The festival features Japanese exhibits, performances, and demonstrations. Held at the Seattle Center in the Fisher Pavilion. The annual festival began in 1976 with a gift of 1,000 cherry trees to the city of Seattle from the Japanese government to celebrate the U.S. Bicentennial.
