To the west of Glacier National Park along Highway 1 (The Transcanada Highway) is Mount Revelstoke, with impressive icefields and rugged peaks. Highway 1 does not penetrate this park except briefly around its southeast edge. There are no campsites in the park itself, but full facilities are available at nearby Revelstoke.
