The
Uchuck III is a passenger and freight vessel providing service in Nootka and Kyuquot sounds, including
Gold River,
Tahsis, and
Zeballos. Very popular with visitors, the
Uchuk III gives passengers the opportunity to see the dailyactivities of a working coastal vessel in this remote wilderness region. During the summer, scenic day cruises through Nootka Sound are offered with stops at historic Resolution Cove, where Captain Cook first landed, and Friendly Cove, home of the Moawchaht people. Throughout the year, passengers can take day trips to
Tahsis or a two-day trip to the community of Kyuquot. The vessel provides transportation for canoeists and kayakers and wet launches along the route can be arranged.
