Established in 1992, Thunderbird Gallery is Salt Spring Island's second oldest fine art gallery. Contemporary sculptures in stone, wood, bronze and whalebone, as well as pate de verre, scrimshaw, jewelry in silver, gold, copper, and mammoth ivory highlight the Thunderbird Gallery collection. They also deal in the contemporary art of Canada's first nation's with particular emphasis on the art of the Northwest Coast. Masks, bowls, totems, drums, paddles, and paintings are represented.
