The park, located between
Mission and
Maple Ridge, was named after James and Fanny Rolley, who homesteaded on the shores of the lake in 1888. In the early 1930's, the park supported a small Japanese-Canadian hand logging operation typical of many that existed throughout the province.
Visitors today enjoy walking around the lakeshore, swimming, canoeing, and fishing for rainbow trout. No power or electric boats are permitted on Rolley Lake.
This is just one of hundreds of British Columbia Provincial Parks.
