Shuswap Lake

Defined by its calm blue waters, surrounded by lush green fields, stately trees and gently rolling hills, this lake's average water temperature is 21C/75F, making it an ideal place for water sports. One can enjoy swimming, parasailing, and water skiing. Relaxing on a houseboat, you can see native pictographs, magnificent waterfalls and clear creeks flowing over boulders, forming pools and rapids.

There are floating mini-marts which provide essentials to houseboaters. The community of Sicamous offers tours of the lake on a sternwheeler, the Phoebe Ann. With 1000 km of navigable shoreline, the Shuswap is the water recreation haven of the High Country region.
