Sidney British Columbia

The earliest known inhabitants of this Saanich Peninsula area north of Victoria were the Salish Indians. Incorporated in 1967, Sidney is known for its fishing waters and waterfront activity. Picnicking, beachcombing and camping are popular at Sidney Spit Marine Park. Narrated tours of the town are available June-September.
